Gehraiyaan Review: Why you should invest Two And Half Hours In this Film 2022

The first character you get introduced to in this film is Alisha’s ( Deepika Padukon) head when she was a child, watching out for her parent’s internal disputes and now that she’s grown up to be a Yoga instructor, she is still affected by her childhood. A family reunion with cousin Tia (Ananya Pandey) at their old farmhouse introduces us to Tia’s fiance Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) & Alisha’s boyfriend Karan (Dhairya Karwa).
Alisha finds the incompleteness of her life getting excited with Zain and they start seeing each other after that trip. Tia & Karan are completely unaware of the same. but they continue to love their partners as much as they did before. The twist begins when Alisha asks Zain to confess their relationship to Tia. The personal & professional mess begins when the lives of all four characters drastically change.
Gehraiyaan Review: Star Performance
Deepika Padukone will not only convince you to seriously believe in Alisha’s mess but also her character and acting are so strong that you start feeling sad for her and that’s the power of a good actress. She did the role of Alisha so well that you can almost feel a personal connection between the reel & real characters.
It happens to very few to get someone as layered as Zain but Siddhant Chaturvedi hits the ball into the basket. From being handsome to chilling as ice, he carries the various moods of his character like a boss.
Ananya Pandey is better than what she has been before this. but to be honest, it’s not a very high bar to match. Expressions are still limited even though she expands her range by exploring Tia.
Dhairya Karwa in his limited screen space is not a disappointment. As he shares a couple of pf beautifully acted scenes with Deepika Padukone making for a choice to play Karan.
Both Rajat Kapoor & Naseeruddin Shah don’t add much to the story but remain to be a magical addition to the supporting cast for the flawless talent they possess.
Gehraiyaan Movie Review: Summing Up
Talking about the film title I don’t remember when was the last time a film’s title did match its story.it will take you so deep to a point where you might feel shortness of breath, but it’s all worth it and I am sure you will love this movie Gehraiyaan.
