1.VASCO DA GAMA
The city Vasco da Gama is a city in the state Goa is named after a Portuguese explorer. If you are planning to spend most of your time on beaches then this is the place you are looking for. There are several beaches like Benaulim, Bogmalo Beach which are great for watching the sunset, or perfect for a wild ride with your friends. There are other places which attract people too like the St.Andrew’s Church which is 400 years old.
You can also visit the Naval Aviation Museum which is one of three such museums in India. If you visit in March you can attend the shigmo. A festival marked by street dances, colorful parades, and music everywhere.
The city is also called Sambhaji Nagar. Sambhaji was the first child of Shivaji, who is the founder of the Maratha Empire. There was a time when an attempt was made to change the name of the city to Sambhaji Nagar, which seemed to be reflected in a few government records. But no official records have been found as to when the city was renamed. It is therefore dismissed as a political move.

Panaji is a relaxed state capital. Panaji compromises of three major religions, with Hinduism being the majority with 64.08% followers, Christianity with 26.51% followers, and the smallest being Islam with only 8.84% followers. 0.4% of the population count as others which include Buddhist, Jain, and Sikh followers.

3. ANJUNA BEACH
Anjuna Beach is a village located in North Goa. It is mostly a tourist destination. Like all of them in the other parts of Goa, Anjuna was also long held by the Portuguese. Anjuna Beach also has a Wednesday Market started by hippies in 1960s with the name Anjuna flea market, a landmark in Goa. The Anjuna flea market is open every Wednesday between 9 AM – 6 PM and it’s the most crowded market. There are more than 500 stalls that sell handicrafts, handmade jewelry, Kashmiri and Tibetian goods many more. There are also food stalls and bands playing jazz and rock music.

4. BAGA BEACH
Baga Beach in North Goa is one of the most popular beaches. The Baga River is in the north. Calangute beach is also popular in the south. The Baga Calangute stretch is one of the longest sandy shores in Goa. you will find many beaches, shacks, pubs, restaurants, shops, nightclubs, and water sport activities, including banana riding, speed boats, paddle boarding, paragliding, surfboarding, and more. Club Tito’s and Café Mambo are two famous Goa nightclubs, both in Baga.

5. DUDHSAGAR WATERFALLS
A spectacular four-tiered waterfall, Dudhsagar presents a breathtaking sight to behold. Counting among the top tourist places in Goa for youngsters, this waterfall is also a popular trekking destination. The trail route of the trek boasts magnificent scenic views and is definitely worth your time and energy. It cascades down to 1017 feet from a steep mountain face. you can view the falls from a train journey to and from Margao or you can trek to the base in the fall. There are many viewpoints along the way.
