1.Hidimba Temple

One of the most popular sightseeing places in Manali is Hidimba Devi Temple. A temple dedicated to Hidimba, wife of Bhima from Mahabharata. The temple is supposed to be 400 years old and is one of the most popular places in Manali. It is surrounded by beautiful cedar forests at its foothills. It is built on a large rock that protrudes from the ground. The architecture consists of beautifully carved woods and stonework. This architecture is taken from Japanese pagodas. About 7- meters from the temple lies a temple dedicated to the children of Bhima, Hidimba, and Ghatokacha.

About seventy meters away from the temple, there is a shrine dedicated to Goddess Hidimba’s son, Ghatotkacha who was born after she married Bhima. The most surprising feature of the temple or what believers could call the most reassuring feature of the temple is the fact that inside the temple the imprint of the feet of the Goddess carved on a block of stone is worshipped.

2. SOLANG VALLEY (Manali)

Solang Valley is situated at a distance of around 13km from Manali, known for its breath-taking views, and is a favorite destination for sports seekers and honeymooners. You can get glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and plains covered with snow all around. A guest house of ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports is also situated here. The giant slopes of lawn comprise Solang Valley and provide its reputation as a popular ski resort. A few ski agencies offering courses and equipment reside here and operate only during winters. Solang valley is well known for the tea sold there.

3. JOGNI FALLS

If you feel like getting away from the hustle of the town to one of the most remote places of Manali, then jogni or jogni falls is the best place to be . The idea is to go to the top of the Jognifalls and see the natural scenery that envelops the entire area. The fall is just 3km from the Manali market and can be reached by vehicle. The route of the trek makes its own way through orchards, pine forests, and several small streams which last for around 20 minutes.

It takes about 3 km by a trek to reach Jogini Waterfall. So if anyone is looking for trekking in Manali, this could be one of the best and easiest treks to include in the package. Beas River and Rohtang Snow peaked mountains are the most scenic part of that place.


4. VASHISHTHA BATHS

Vashishtha bath is a place where you can take a hot water spring bath that the place features. Located around 6km from Manali. Vashishtha Baths are one of the ideal places in Manali. There have been separate bathing zones arranged by the government for both men and women. Natural spring water is said to hold medicinal properties that are said to successfully cure various diseases of the skin.

The Vashisht temple is believed to be more than 4000 years old. Inside the temple, there is a black stone image of Rishi wearing dhoti. The Vashist temple is decorated with excellent and beautiful carvings of wood. The interior of this temple is rather traditional and is ornamented with antique paintings and figures.

5. KOTHI

Kothi is a beautiful and photogenic village located at the bottom of Rohtang Pass where tourists can watch the deep gorge where the Beas river thunders along. This is an amazing place to experience the natural beauty of snow-clad mountains.
